Avnish Jha

Avnish Jha, Son & Disciple of Shri Mani Kumar Jha (Gwalior Gharana) and Pt. Bholanath Mishra (Banaras Gharana). He has also served as the President of Backbeat- The Music Society of Ramjas College, Delhi university for the session 2020-21. His mother is Smt. Kiran Jha. He is the Grandson of Shri Surendra Jha and maternal Grandson of Shri Shyamanand Jha (President’s Award recipient). Avnish Jha has completed his graduation from Ramjas College, Delhi University and is graduate in Hindustani Music from Faculty of Music & Fine Arts, Delhi University.

Achievements-:

• He has performed on many prestigious stages.

• Performed in front of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

• Performed in front of Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Venkaiyah Naidu ji at Delhi University Stadium.Recently performed in front of Hon’ble Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank Ji at Delhi University Stadium.

• Received award from the then Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Sheila Dixit ji.

• Performed in DAV United Festival at Indira Gandhi Stadium in front of Shahrukh Khan, Kapil Dev and many more celebrities.

• Performed in IIT Mumbai, IIT Kanpur, BITS Pilani, IIT Delhi, DTU and Many prestigious institutes of India.

• Won many classical music awards including prize in Sangeet Milon, Sangeet Natak Academy and Classical Voice of India organised by Goonje Tarana and IIT Delhi. Started learning classical music from his father Shri Mani Kumar Jha and currently being trained in classical music under Pt. Bholanath Mishra (Banaras Gharana).
